    When your computer viewed your ipod as a camera it was a glitch; you happened to like the result, but it did not work the way it was supposed to. This iPod appears to be working correctly.

    It may take a while, but i would sit through the backup.

    Have you ever played Asteroids?

    You know how if you start with a stationary ship, and thrust directly upwards, the ship gets moving in that direction. If you start stationary and thrust straight to the right, it goes that way.

    Suppose you thrust up for a few seconds, then turn to the right and thrust. The ship would still continue its upward rate, unchanged by the thrust to the right.

    If you wanted to go from straight up to straight right, you would thrust down and right for twice as long as the original thrust up to make the change. This is because at 45 degrees, half of the thrust is being used to cancel out the original "up" thrust, and half is being used to make a new "right" thrust.

    Asteroids is nowhere near a perfect simulation, though, because they put some "friction" in the game to make it a little easier. (the ship comes to a stop eventually even if you don't fire thrusters)

    In space, it works about like this, minus the friction. The shuttle would need two more nearly-full main tanks of fuel in order to change its course from an eastward orbit to a polar one. (One tank to negate the original tank spent getting it on its starting course and speed, and one tank to get a similar orbital speed, but in the polar direction) This is just rough estimation to illustrate a point. It would be cheaper to simply launch one mission with the sole purpose of rendezvous with the errant satellite.

    Now, since a manned shuttle mission is more expensive than an unmanned launch of a new satellite, on a disposable launch vehicle, it makes more financial sense to write this one off and launch a new one than to salvage this one.

    As far as ground safety – the chances of any debris hitting any people or property are remote. Over half the Earth is covered in oceans, and the land is not nearly as densely populated as you might believe – most of Asia is sparsely populated wilderness (Siberia, for instance). Also, the satellite should almost completely burn up during its reentry, further minimizing the danger. The extraordinarily remote chance of danger, coupled with the immense cost of stopping it, or the even more immense cost of salvaging it all add up to one thing: Bye-bye, satellite! I hope I live where I can see the reentry burn. That would be a pretty spectacular sight, I imagine.

    It sounds like she is having a hard time letting go of her little boy. Maybe you should take some time to spend with just the two of you so she can get better aquainted with who you are. If you open up to her and show her your interests it might help her to understand who you really are. Try to be understanding. The fact that you are about to go to college next year probably terrifies her and makes her really sad. She obviously loves you so much. If you could find it in your heart to spend some time together, it might help her to let go and realise that you are now a young man. Its a tough situation. God bless,
    Mary

    That's not a poem dear. You're just making the words rhyme after every two lines. A poem is meant to arouse strong emotions, that does nothing. And come on! Writing about a celebrity? That is something you're passionate about? F from me sorry. Im being honest.

  10. MICHAEL says:

    Star Wars, especially #1, was the perfect mix of myth and action. Lucas himself has said many times how much of an influence the work of Joseph Campbell had on his ideas.

    Campbell's book The Hero with a Thousand Faces(1949) traces the commonalities of myth throughout world culture from a psychological point of view – factors such as the hero, his journey, his quest for redemption through a discovery of his past, etc. Later, Lucas's conversations/collaboration with Bill Moyers on the PBS series The Power of Myth (1988) further explored these theories. (Totally worth getting hold of BTW)

    All this is to say that the characters and events in the Star Wars stories deliberately follow classic mythology, from Native American origin stories to Beowulf. Lucas' genius was to tap this common hero myth that seems to run through our DNA, put these stories into the future, in a setting that is irresistibly watchable, and run with it. The important thing is not that Star Wars isn't exactly an original basic concept, but that it's told in a such an original, authentic way.

    Sorry before I start….wtf is up with you people? The asker SPECIFICALLY said he/she didn't want answers preaching about how bad drugs are. So kindly take your opinion elsewhere.

    And MissMellee…withdrawal? From E? Are you serious? Please,no offense but if you're going to lie to and deceive people, at least try to be more convincing next time.

    On to the question though, Robyn pretty much has the idea. I've tried E in school and it was good in the sense that I was a lot more focused, and on breaks I was more social. But sitting down for over an hour in class and trying to stay still isn't my thing while I'm on E. Also, like Robyn said the sun can be rreeally damaging to your pupils. Take a look at them when you pop, they're huge. Unless you've got sunglasses I wouldn't suggest walking outside in broad daylight.

    Honestly you can try it if you like, but I wouldn't suggest it for your first time because your first time is usually your best, and it would be a waste of a potentially great experience.

    Also, are you talking about the white apple mac logo? Cause my friend told me those were decent. One of them was tripping balls on two pills. 1 pill lasts about 6 hours. You might wanna save that for a good event, make sure there's lots of music.

  14. Rocky says:

    Wow, well as each of us should be…you too should always be aware and responsible for yourself.

    As a big sister my parents blamed me for what ever my sister found herself in, although they never said a word to her I got grounded because I didn't know what she was up to.

    So let your brother know if you step away for a minute so he constantly doesn't have to keep you in eye shot, a drink of water while we both were at majorette practice got me grounded for 2 months for not going to get the water with her and talking her out of stupid stuff.

    Next ask your parents if you can take over responsibility for yourself, in front of your brother when both parents are their. Make sure that you let them know that your brother is great but you feel like you have no separate life, and that you and he has no real freedom.

    It will be something that should have been done the first year you were 13 and in sports together. Sounds like your twins almost = ) Your brother probably wouldn't say it cause although he likes it this way, he's afraid if he said anything it would hurt your feelings, which he cares to much to do.

    An example of a Space Shuttle would be the name of any particular Space Shuttle, such as Challenger or Atlantis. A non-example would be anything that is not a Space Shuttle: an Apollo moon craft, an airplane, or something completely different such as, say, a platypus. A synonym means something the same as Space Shuttle such as "reuseable spacecraft", and an antonym would mean something that ius somehow opposite such as "non-reuseable spacecraft".

  21. madmik3 says:

    If you're using C++, strings are nothing like arrays. But they are a lot like other C++ containers.

    If your string is stored in a variable s, you can obtain a reference to the first character with string's operator[] with argument 0, like so: s[0] (or even s.at(0) if you're not sure it's not empty), or you can obtain it by dereferencing the begin iterator, like this: *s.begin().

    As for the last character, you can dereference the reverse-begin iterator, like this: *s.rbegin() or you can use operator[] with the argument equal the length of string minus one (because numbering begins at zero), like this: s[s.length()-1];

    There are other ways to obtain references to the first and the last characters, too, but whichever way you've used, once you have the two references, you can swap the characters using swap() function.

    #include <iostream>
    using namespace std;
    int main()
    {
    string s = "apple";
    swap(*s.begin(), *s.rbegin());
    cout << "swapped: " << s << endl;
    swap(s[0], s[s.length()-1]);
    cout << "swapped again: " << s << endl;
    }

    test run:
    $ ./test
    swapped: eppla
    swapped again: apple

    You can also create a new string, instead of modifying the existing one, there are even more ways to do that. You can read about C++ strings here: http://www.cplusplus.com/reference/string/string/

    Did you check your cm? If you have egg white cm, then have sex that day. Sometimes, temps and OPK are not that reliable if not done accurately. Also, temps can elevate due to mild fever, etc. OPK can be positive few days earlier than your body actually ovulates. I think CM is probably the most reliable because it's your body telling you whether you are fertile or not.

    I don't think you should feel bad, unless people are constantly saying he's better in his face. I, as the oldest of 3, know what your brother is going through. My sister is a freshie and I'm a senior and we're both involved in band. I constantly have to babysit her since she doesn't have many friends in the program and I have so many. I enjoy having her around and having the same experiences. Yeah, I complain about her, but in the end I love having her around. I'm always getting yelled at for her failures and she gets yelled at about mine.
    Don't feel bad, its just the way it is. You should be proud you have an older brother. :) Its hard being the oldest.
    But just try to get his friends to stop making you sound better than him. That's probably what bothers him.
    I don't know if I helped, but Good luck!

  36. Charles K says:

    A business park or business estate is an area of land in which many office buildings are grouped together. All of the work that goes on is commercial, not industrial or residential.These are popular in many suburban locations, where it is cheaper to develop land because of the lower land costs and the lower building costs for building wider, not necessarily higher. They are also often located near motorways or main roads.

    Criticism
    Criticism of business parks often relates to the failure of business parks to relate to the urban fabric of the city:

    A result of this form of territorial colonization is the proliferation of spaces which escape the control of the built realm: voids between fragments of unconnected residential schemes, gaps between urbanized zones, abandoned farmland, etc. While we debate on whether the traditional city block is a naïve solution to the problem of ordering immediate periphery, a new approach to spacial organization arises with the ease that characterizes any new consumer good, an approach which questions the conventional references of urbanism: the so-called 'commercial, industrial, business and theme park'. …
    The urbanized park originally sprang the hybridization of the garden-city and Anglo-Saxon university campus models. It adopted the former's low-rise buildings and attention to free spaces as a way of shaping the environment, and the latter's autonomous constructions. In sum, parks are thematic precincts of autonomous architectural set pieces arranged around parking lots and communal services, and are situated at the most accessible points of the metropolitan road network. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_park

    I was one of those people back in the 60s who was glued to the TV every Thursday Night for Star Trek, and one of the many who wrote in to keep the series alive after it was threatened with cancellation after its second season. There was nothing like it. And while the series will always be special, if I had an era to live in, I'd choose the DS9 world. And in terms of chemistry, I think Star Trek TNG had a better cast with better chemistry, and better written storylines.

    You're missing a "}". In addition, as a rule, in Java variable names begin with a lower case character, e. g. mainArray NOT MainArray. BTW, class names begin with a upper case.

    It sounds like you are pregnant. Maybe when you did the first test it was to early to give the right result. Usually when you have a miscarriage its your bodies way of getting rid of a pregnancy that wouldnt have survived anyway. Theres usually nothing you or your doctor can do to prevent it. But it doesnt mean that it will always happen to you. I had a miscarriage at six weeks. And now I'm pregnant for the second time, 12 weeks and so far everything is going well. I was a bit scared that it would happen again but eventually I got through it. So dont worry. All the best!

    Fimo or sculpey, NOT plastilina, that is for making models to create a casting mold of. Earth clay will be too heavy and take a lot of work to fire. The fimo is oven useable, though buying a cheap thrift store toaster oven for only fimo or craft work is advised if you can.

    I have used a ready made action figure for the body, and scupted heads using the original as the armature.
    Skulpy/fimo work sokay, but the head inside can often melt. so I cut the head base off before i do the sculpting, (so i can glue it on later to fasten to the body) and tuck a tiny bit of Al foil inside to make sure stuff holds its shape. The hair will usually not hold up to the bake, so either dut that part off for later re-attachment, or sculpt int on over the shaved head.
    Use the flesh color compound, and after bake, you can paint away for details.
    Have fun

    Ouija boards while having a long history, are most commonly associated with Parker Brothers and other toy manufacturers.
    So some people associate them with kids and teens who goof around and pretend they are witches, etc.

    Other people associate the ouija board with stories of demons passed down from grandmothers or friends who had bad experiences.

    So some people change the name to spirit board or something similar; there are a lot of different names. They do this in order to get away from the negative reputation and spark some interest in new shoppers. But the truth is the board is the same and works the same. The name doesn't change anything.

    I hope that helps. :)

    First place to check would be the publishers' web sites. Hasbro (Milton Bradley, Parker Brothers, et al.) and Ravensburger are especially good at having their rules available for download. Your second stop should be http://www.boardgamegeek.com. There you can find rules to download and Aussies such as yourself who would have these games in their collections.
